Software Sales Development Representative

busHive software helps transportation organizations increase safety and efficiency. Our suite includes platforms for trip & charter management, driver compliance and vehicle preventative maintenance.

The sales associate position is responsible for researching prospective clients and various outreach strategies. This role will work closely and collaboratively with the sales director to develop and implement prospecting strategies to convert leads and schedule demos. The results of these responsibilities will have a significant impact in increasing our customer base.

This position is based in Conshohocken, Pennsylvania. Applicant must report to the office for the initial three months, after this period the position will become remote.

  • Base salary plus commission (estimated total $45,000)

Qualifications

  • Associate degree or bachelor’s degree in Business or related field or 1-2 years of sales experience
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build a rapport with potential customers
  • Commitment to customer service
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills
  • Ability to type 40 words per minute
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook and Dynamics)
  • Results oriented

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Identify leads through websites and trade directories
  • Enter new accounts & contacts from tradeshows into the CRM
  • Conduct high volume prospecting via email and phone call campaigns (60-100 activities per day)
  • Schedule discovery calls to qualify prospects
  • Schedule demos with qualified prospects
  • Assist with RFP’s (Request for Proposals)
  • Maintain a list of client references
  • Attend tradeshows and conferences (10% travel)
  • Entering New Accounts & Contacts
  • Each tradeshow includes an Excel spreadsheet of attendees
  • Enter new accounts and contacts and update existing records
  • Research additional contacts via school & company websites, LinkedIn and public listings
  • Cold Calling & Cold Emailing
  • Use our Breakthrough Email strategy to reach out to new potential clients
  • Qualify potential clients based on their needs and budget
  • Provide a basic overview of our technology and product offerings
  • Follow-up with leads via email and phone calls
  • Convert leads into scheduled demos

CRM (Microsoft Dynamics)

  • Track all emails and calls in Microsoft Dynamics
  • Keep detailed notes of conversations (client needs & concerns) in each opportunity

Client References

  • Reach out to our current client base for referrals
  • Maintain a list of client references based on client type
